2026 Pickleball BC Championships, Canadian Nationals Announcement, and the 2026 Provincial Team Competition

Pickleball BC announced upcoming summer 2026 tournaments, including the BC Provincial Championships (July 22-26) at The Nest/Steve Deakin Pickleball in Tsawwassen, BC, and the Pickleball Canada National Championship (August 25-30) at Pickleplex locations in the Greater Toronto Area.

2026 BC Provincial Championships

Registration Details:

• Pre-registration opened for defending gold medalists
• Full registration opens April 15, 2026, at 10 AM PDT
• Venue: The Nest, a 98,000-square-foot facility opening spring 2026

Competition Structure:

• Gender-based doubles, mixed doubles, and singles
• Skill levels from 3.0 to 4.5 and Open categories
• Age groups ranging from 13+ to 70+

Requirements:

• Protective eyewear mandatory on court
• Participants must reside in BC (verified through tax records)
• Current PBCA and Pickleball Canada membership required

2026 Pickleball Canada National Championships

The national event features “21 indoor pickleball courts over five days” across Pickleplex’s dedicated venues, designed to showcase “pickleball at its highest national level.”

Provincial Team Competition

The BC Provincial Team won gold at the 2025 inaugural event in Winnipeg. The 2026 competition will serve as an athlete pathway evaluation criterion for Pickleball Canada’s National Development Program.
