BC Provincial Championships
2026 BC Provincial Championships
There will be three connected major events for Summer 2026: the BC Provincial Championships (July 22–26 in Tsawwassen at The Nest), the Canadian National Championships (Aug 25–30 in the Greater Toronto Area), and the Provincial Team Competition (“PTC”), which links the events as part of the athlete development pathway.
This highlights that the Provincials will be hosted at the new 98,000-sq-ft The Nest facility in partnership with pro player and coach Steve Deakin, whose leadership and programming will help elevate athlete development and performance, with results feeding into Team BC selection and ultimately national team identification.
Further, this emphasizes that the BC Provincials serve as a key qualifier for Team BC selection, while the PTC will help identify athletes for Canada’s National Development Program, making these events collectively important for advancing players from provincial competition to national and international levels.
2025 BC Provincial Championships
The Pickleball Depot 2025 BC Provincial Championships brought together over 600 players from across British Columbia for a four-day tournament in Vernon, featuring 5 event categories, 61 brackets, and more than 1,000 matches played on 30 courts.
The event was highlighted by strong competition, participation from professional players, and a fully BC-based officiating team supported by about 175–180 volunteers, making it a successful and community-driven championship while marking a transition to a new host community for 2026.
