Conflict Resolution
At the club level, conflict resolution in pickleball may involve a certified mediator when disputes cannot be resolved between players. The mediator provides a neutral, structured process to hear both sides, clarify rules, and guide participants toward a fair outcome. This ensures consistency, preserves relationships, and maintains a respectful playing environment.
A great reason (and there are many others—including support through Becoming an Affiliated or Associated Club) behind the idea of becoming a Pickleball BC Association (“PBCA”) club is:
- Advisory conflict resolution assistance with a certified PBCA mediator at no additional cost
The bottom line in pickleball conflict resolution relies on clear communication and mutual respect between players. When disagreements arise—such as line calls or scoring—players should calmly discuss the issue and, if needed, replay the point to maintain fairness. Good sportsmanship and a focus on enjoyment help prevent conflicts from escalating. Thus, requiring a mediator.
